Server Upgrade

With 1.4.5 Bukkit released hopefully soon, we need to look at compatible plugins, would like user input...

The following is a list of plugins we currently used. Items in red do not have updates available.

The biggest issue is iConomy no longer being developed. We will have to use another plugin. Though BOSEconomy uses the VAULT...so maybe things will transfer easily??

Or do we get rid of the economy system and stick with trading? More vanilla.

Money is mostly spent on repairs at the blacksmith which can now be accomplished with the anvil block.

Remove it, I spare my damaged picks to repair it with an anvil.

Maybe there is a plugin in existence that gives the opportunity to trade, a shop example (like those ones in spawntown):

You got a sign with the text:

Quote :

Give one diamond
Get two emeralds
Owner mrdejong

When a user right clicks on it with a diamond in their inventory it will get the diamond and put it in the chest under the sign and at the same time it will get the two emeralds from the same chest, if their ain't no emeralds in the chest the trade will be illegal and the user gets his diamond back, the shop owner gets a message that one of his chests is out of stock.

That sounds like a cool edition to the game. And it also sounds easy to program.

I like the idea of removing it too I like the game to be as vanilla as possible. I'd like to say remove chest locks entirely and rely on trust shops. But, although I'm sure I trust everyone on the server, theres always the risk of newbies running riot.

I've just been letting my picks break, as it's cheaper just to make a new one, but I do love the dismantle feature of the blacksmith. I'd be fine with removing the economy. Vanilla trades are more useful, anywho.

I personally like as vanilla as possible, maybe with lockable chests as the only plugin, i like the idea that people could betray you and kill you, stealing your stuff.
makes you form better bonds.

I'm a big fan of not losing my stuff, so having locked chests is a must for me. Door locks are nice, but unnecessary. I mainly use them so double doors open together.

Server is running, there may be permission bugs, please please please let me know if something isn't right isn't working .

The thing about the trading plugin is, you have to use spawn eggs in other to create a player trading villager.

As far as I have seen you can't use existing villagers for this, which kinda sucks.

Correct, those of you that bought shop chests will be given eggs to replace your signs.
