Smart Moving Mod (Bukkit Plugin???)

Can't get up over that 3 blocks high wall?
Is the 1 block high hole showing something interesting but out of reach?
Have you run out ladders but got a bunch slabs?
Are you being chased by a spider jockey?
are you training for the water Olympics?

If you answered yes to at least one of these,
then you NEED and MUST agree that "Smart Movin' mod" is exactly what we need!

Okay jokes and stupids ads aside...
This mod lets you do an insane amount of new things within the game, like climbing up unto high walls.
It allows you to crawl through 1 block big holes.
And many many more thing, check out the link at the top of this post.

THE CATCH (perhaps?)
Mods needed - Last time i tried the mod, i was forced to download and install 1 or two mods in order to be able to join the server,
or you would get an error upon joining the server...
Now that's all fine and dandy... If you know how to install mods at all.. let alone a texture pack. but the thing/truth is; there is a large amount of people whom don't even know what the heck a mod is.
This by itself will make people get discuraged to even want to join the server in the first place.

Now i don't say that a mod is needed to be installed for the players in order to join.
But if it is needed, then this mod can go into the garbage bin...
Seeing as i have no server, i can't just go about testing it...

My opinion
I'm well aware that we keep the server vanilla, and that's fine and dandy, I don't mind one sodding bit, I like it.
But i just feel that getting around is one heck of a limited experience.
Sure Minecraft is blocky, but why does moving about have to be just as limited as the appearance of minecraft?
Each moving type can be individually disabled. I know this because i tried the mod once one my own server a while back.
It's a fantastic mod. HIGHLY configurable too.
Try it out in single player and see what you think your self. you may like it.
The only annoying thing was getting used to use a new button.
Not a problem, but can pose some... "fun" moments on occasions.

I recommend watching the vids supplied, and give the mod a try in single player.
Learn the ins and outs of the mod. then post you're vote and comment ^_^

David/AITCHY THE GREAT NOOB - Could you be a sweetheart/good pal and mess with the event server and see if players DO need to install mods in order to join, when Smart moving mod is installed?
If you need a "Guinea pig" for testing if it works without mods on the client side of end, then i'll gladly help out ^_^

It seems unnecessary in my opinion, atleast for the main map.

Perhaps it could work well on an events server for certain map types though?

I had this installed on one of my servers at one point and I have to say it is an epic mod, makes the game so much more fun.
However, at least when I installed it, it was a nightmare to sort out in SMP and its certainly beyond the abilities of some of our members. Plus like SOME BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITCH said it's not really necessary for the main server.

But that's what we got the suggestion forums for, to offer and share ideas

Yeah,l this mod when i had it...but certain stuff got rather annoying.

I've voted yes providing nobody has to do anything client side, which unless there's has been some drastic changes to the mod, isn't the case
