A Word regarding update and current state of the server

I have removed all mani's polls for the reason that they are not accurate as to what will happen

As of today the 3rd of Aug there is a 1.3.1 dev build and a 1.3.1 vanilla in our control panel

It should not be long until a recommended bukkit build is released

As soon as it is released we will discuss and vote on what will happen with the server. As of the last few weeks the server has been quiet mainly due to people waiting for the update or just getting a little bored.

There is no point from my perspective putting time or effort into the server or opening whitelist at this time. If you want to play on the server you will have to downgrade until we update if you still want to play on the server.

Be patient, as soon a recommended bukkit build comes out I will be on here letting you know and discussing on teamspeak with people their views and expectations etc

There will be and have been changes to mods and admin ranks,,, I expect admins and mods to be active on teamspeak and not in their own skype calls.

Have some patience should not be long. Daily back ups are still being done

If It means running 1.3 bukkit with only a few working plugins then thats what we will do,,,, until others are updated. We wont be waiting for every single plugin to work (incase thats what you were thinking)

awesome, thanks for that AITCHY THE GREAT NOOB. I think some of us, (including me) were getting ahead of ourselves. Hopefully a stable versions and the required plugins update soon so we can just get into the update.

The dev build is running on the events server, let me know how its going,,, used same seed as our main server

Great news.

However I fail to see the downside of discussing and coming to a decision before the stable bukkit comes out.
I don't know about anyone else, but as soon as a recommended bukkit comes out, I don't want to be waiting days for people to decide what they want.

Discussing it gives people the opportunity to voice their concerns and see others perspective to come to a decision they won't end up regretting.

The downside of what was posted in manifests polls are he took it upon himself to add options that would never happen ie multiverse , 50k warp from spawn etc

Before he took it upon himself to set up these polls he should of discussed it with me and other staff, he has my skype, mobile, steam

Yes we are a community but Im the one who has the headache of setting up a new server and all the bullshit that goes with it..... you dont just flip a switch and bam were on 1.3 bukkit and everything is good you know.

Im not gonna debate on here,,,,, and as I said earlier when the new update is sorted I expect all admins and mods to be active on teamspeak and not just when it suits them

alright, just got my new comp and ill try and be more active on teamspeak and hopefully we'll be able to sort it soon. Thanks for all the hard work.

In no way was multiverse added, it was discussed as a possibility, in the same way the idea of those wanting to keep their builds get a copy of the map *A showcase of both good and questionable alternatives. And I do believe it was all on the forums easy to see and be corrected by yourself at any given point over the last few days.

Yeah, all you need to do is not update 'til the server does.

OR you rename your current minecraft.jar to smth like minecraftold.jar and update. When you want to play old version, just rename files back and forth.

Or use the tool I literally just linked :p
