Large Biomes are a little over the top right?

| I originally wanted a large biome world, but after spening a few hours flying around one today, I realized just how big they can be O.O
I'm fine with whatever, but I think everyone should realize how big large biomes really are before making a decision. | |

| Thats the reason why I voted for new map, because of large biomes. Otherwise I dont see point from new map. | |

| I kinda agree with Nerealis....large biomes are just a bit too much for SMP. Imagine a grassland with no trees for 3 days walk. I had one of those singleplayer.

me and SOME BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITCH played a LAN together n one to check it out
the problem with it is though
it can be rather annoying gathering resources since it is highly unlikely you are surrounded by all biomes in near proximity like default
it is more than likely you will have to run for 10 minutes just to get a few resources from another biome
I am happy with large and default really, but i think to vote for large without playing in large for a little while is probably a big mistake

| Bleh.
I for one will be looking out for an extreme mountains biome not only for the emeralds, but also for building in.
The fact that everyone will want their own room to build in will lead to us having to go days and days in different directions to find something suitable that someone else hasn't already staked claim to.
Large biomes are ridiculous, and quickly become tiring once you've had to swim across an ocean for days, or have no trees in sight.
Less villages, and as A.itchy said, 20x the normal biomes - Take a look on the dynmap, count up 20 biomes and ask yourself if you really want that all to be desert? ¬_¬ | |

EDIT; ok I looked at large biomes @ SP, must say its kinda cool but its too much, still cool, but for server it should be better for def biomes | |
